Climate Action Authority Team
Ing. Abigail Cutajar is the CEO of Europe’s first authority for climate action, with expertise in energy and climate sectors. She leads initiatives to advance sustainability and climate neutrality, working closely with Malta’s Climate Action Council. An MCIBSE Chartered and Warranted Engineer, and Accredited LEED AP, Abigail advocates for innovation and transformative action to tackle climate challenges and build a sustainable future.

Margaret Cassar is Chief Policy and Strategy Officer at the Climate Action Authority. With a strong background in economics and public policy, she helps define national strategies on sustainability, carbon neutrality, and climate resilience. She is a promoter of the integration of climate and sustainability considerations into the drafting of national economic policy and decision-making.

Mark Agius is Chief Finance and Administration Officer at the Climate Action Authority. He has extensive experience in financial services, mainly investments management, credit and trade finance. Mark is currently participating in a MiCreS project, co-funded by the European Union, focusing on establishing a micro-credential ecosystem for the financial services sector, with emphasis on ESG and the future trends in sustainable finance.
