Our Commitment

The Climate Action Authority is a key player in Malta's fight against climate change

The Climate Action Authority is committed to raising public awareness on climate change, while implementing a robust legal framework to address its impacts. It leads national efforts in developing long-term energy and climate strategies, such as the National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP), and coordinates data to shape effective policies. The Authority also manages climate-related projects and creates incentives to support sustainable actions, ensuring real and tangible progress in combating climate change.

Climate Leaders

Powering Malta's Climate Action - We are building a movement of climate champions who inspire action, drive change and are committed to building a sustainable future for all.

We have set up this Authority because climate action requires collective effort. The Government is committed to taking coordinated and decisive action and promoting sustainable living. However, climate action extends beyond government involvement: mitigation and adaptation are shared responsibilities that lie with everyone.
